POD Post 1
Proposal 1
Title: I Don't Know
Genre: R&B
References: Sam Kim, DEAN, GRAY, Bruno Major
I Don't Know is a groove-focused song that is driven forward through synthesis, arrangement, and mix.
I thought of this song because its a genre that fits into my style pretty well and its something I've been wanting to do for a really long time. The final product that I am looking for is getting the song to flow well so that it doesn't break and allows for development as it progresses. Have to explore different synth sounds and experiment with different combinations.
Proposal 2
Title: When I'm Gone
Genre: Acoustic Ballad
References: Lew, Labyrinth, Rhys Lewis
When I'm Gone is a slow ballad that features the acoustic guitar which strives to deliver its message through songwriting and arrangement.
This is a rather personal song that serves as a goodbye to family and friends through letter format and repeating lines that pop up like 'Tell him/her this when I'm gone' etc or something like that. Although it's personal, I want to create it in a way thats relatable and make people go 'ey me too, sik'
Proposal 3
Title:?
Genre: Indie Pop Rock
References: IV of Spades, Parokya Ni Edgar, Eraserheads
Coming from a Filipino background and growing up around Original Pinoy Music (OPM), I've been wanting to make a song that pays tribute to that. I feel that the Indie pop scene in the Philippines is a style most suited for me and something I personally enjoy. I have thoughts about writing in Tagalog but I'm focusing on the instrumental and arrangement and see where it takes me from there. As of now I'm still not sure of the sound I'm looking for but I have a clear direction in where I want to go with it.
Proposal 4
Title: Medieval Town Square
Genre: Video Game Music
I'm writing some music for a friend. Quite straightforward. Medieval. Lute.
